Feed association and fire marshals plan safety course
From the Nebraska Grain and Feed Association
The Nebraska Grain and Feed Association (NGF) in cooperation with the Nebraska State Fire Marshals Office (SFM) and training center are planning a four-day rope and confined space rescue (CSR) training session. This comprehensive prevention and rescue workshop will be held at the Kearney Fire Training Center on September 5 & 6, and September 18 & 19, 2007. Space will be limited to approximately 40 students.
NGF members can attend all 4 sessions for $325, while the nonmember rate is $425. Members are encouraged to bring a local EMT representative for the member rate. The fees include the cost associated with the workshops, including the trainer’s hourly time, the fee for the use of the Kearney Fire Training Center, all handouts or printed materials and morning and afternoon coffee, sodas, cookies or other snacks. Lunch will be on your own.
These sessions build on each other, so it is important that students attend all classes. The first two day session of training on Haz-mat, Monitoring, and Basic Rope Rescue are required training for attendance to the second two day session on Confined Space Rescue. Look for additional registration information next week, or call NGF to register at 402-476-6174.
